ABOUT
Art. Place. Belonging.
RODIKI is an independent art advisory built around a simple belief: the most meaningful relationship with art begins with the person who will live with it.
RODIKI
A name rooted in belonging.
RODIKI draws from the Slavic linguistic tradition of rod — a word rooted in ideas of kinship, lineage, origin and belonging. Across Slavic languages, this ancient root lives within words connected to family, birth, ancestry and the places and people we call our own. For RODIKI, it speaks to something equally enduring: our instinct to surround ourselves with things that hold meaning. We believe art can become part of that sense of belonging.
THE PHILOSOPHY
What we live with becomes part of our story.
The works we choose to live with enter the spaces of our everyday lives and, over time, become part of our personal histories. A collection can hold memory, curiosity, beauty and meaning while reflecting something distinctly individual about the person who built it. RODIKI was created around the idea that collecting can be knowledgeable without being intimidating, considered without becoming impersonal, and guided without losing instinct. Our role is not to prescribe taste. It is to help collectors develop confidence in their own.
The objective is not to build a collection that looks like someone else’s.
It is to build one that could only belong to you.
THE FOUNDER
Anya Abou-Chalha
Founder & Art Advisor
RODIKI was founded by Anya Abou-Chalha from a belief that art advisory should begin with listening. Her approach brings together an understanding of art, the experience of living with it and a deeply personal interest in how people form relationships with the objects and spaces around them. Rather than beginning with a predetermined roster or inventory, Anya works from the collector outward — learning what draws them in, understanding their environment and helping them navigate artists, galleries and opportunities with greater clarity and confidence. Her work is grounded in curiosity, careful research, strong relationships and the belief that acquiring art should remain both informed and deeply personal.
INDEPENDENT BY DESIGN
The collector comes first.
RODIKI is not built around a fixed inventory or a single roster of artists. That independence allows us to begin with the collector — considering works across galleries, artists and opportunities according to the individual engagement. When specialist expertise is required, we can coordinate with appropriate galleries, appraisers, conservators, framers, installers and other professionals while remaining focused on the collector and the collection.
PLACE
Based here. Looking beyond.
RODIKI is based in Collingwood and serves collectors throughout South Georgian Bay, with advisory available for projects beyond the region. Our sense of place matters to us, but our perspective is not geographically limited.
RODIKI
ART · PLACE · BELONGING
Art that means something. Collections that become personal. Places made richer by what we choose to live with.
